About Telecare Deschutes Recovery Center
This residential program in Bend, works to provide a safe and stable living environment to adults who are transitioning from the state hospital or other secure mental health facilities.
For admission into this 16-bed facility, clients must be an adult 18 years or older, and be diagnosed with a serious mental illness. All applicants must be referred through the AMHI process or through the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB). They must also be approved for payment through AMHI or PSRB. Deschutes Recovery Center has 8 beds for individuals under the authority of civil commitment proceedings with the State of Oregon and 8 beds for individuals under the jurisdiction of the PSRB.
Experience Structured Support in a Respectful Environment
The program provides continuous residential supervision and support for adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness. The residence offers a structured, recovery-oriented program and residents may be able to transition to a less secure, community-based residence as a result of the program. While the Deschutes Recovery Center is a locked facility, staff work to make residents feel respected and well-supported.
