About CHI Health Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility
CHI Health Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility helps children and adolescents ages 6 to 18 who have serious mental health needs and often struggle with behaviors like mood swings, impulsivity, anxiety, personality disorders, autism, ADHD, and self-harm. This 20-bed facility offers a high level of residential care to those who have not responded to other treatments. Since the facility is part of the larger CommonSpirit health system, they can provide seamless transition between different levels of care.
Well-Rounded Approach
Their comprehensive approach includes individual, group, and family therapy, along with medication management, education, and recreational therapy. Therapists are trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which helps clients develop skills for managing their mental health and making positive adjustments to their lives in the community.
Growth through Structure and Support
Youth follow a daily schedule that includes school, therapy and life skills training. The facility uses a system where residents can earn privileges by demonstrating positive social skills. Families are involved throughout treatment, and other services like pastoral care and nutritionist can be requested, helping clients toward long-term success.
