About Casa Esperanza Men's Residential Treatment
Recognizing the cultural, social, and life experiences that shape recovery, Casa Esperanza's Men's Residential Treatment provides free residential care for men with substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions, including those experiencing unstable housing or reentering the community after incarceration. Over 6-9 months, men receive bilingual services in English and Spanish while following an individualized treatment plan that supports their recovery goals and reflects the unique cultural and life experiences many Latino men face.
Building Practical Recovery Skills
Casa Esperanza gives men access to medication management, therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, peer support, and case management. Some staff members draw on their own recovery experience to encourage men throughout treatment. Men build practical skills through parenting education, conflict resolution, critical thinking, tobacco cessation counseling, and trauma-informed care.
Preparing for Life Beyond Treatment
Their staff coordinate family reunification, supervised visitation, and connections to housing, employment, medical care, and community resources. Before discharge, men work with staff to develop an aftercare plan and arrange referrals for continued treatment and recovery support.
