About Blue Ridge Recovery Center
Creating a foundation for long-term recovery, Blue Ridge Recovery Center gives adults time and space away from substance use and everyday triggers to focus on their health and recovery. The 81-bed residential center welcomes men and women with diverse backgrounds and needs, including professionals, veterans, LGBTQ+ clients, pregnant women, those entering treatment for the first time, and those returning after relapse. Clients receive treatment for alcohol and drug addiction alongside co-occurring mental health concerns, with same-day admission available when possible.
Strengthening Tools for Recovery
Blue Ridge Recovery Center tailors treatment to each client through individual, group, and family therapy alongside cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, art therapy, and music therapy. Clients learn to recognize their triggers and warning signs, manage cravings and stress, strengthen communication, and find healthier ways to respond to challenges. When clinically appropriate, the team provides medication management and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Recovery and discharge planning help clients prepare for continued care after residential treatment.
Supporting Wellness Beyond Therapy
Clients stay in shared rooms that encourage connection, peer support, and accountability throughout recovery. Between therapy sessions, they can exercise in the fitness center, practice yoga and meditation, spend time outdoors, and receive nutritional counseling alongside chef-prepared meals. Transportation assistance can also make getting to treatment easier. These everyday experiences give clients time to focus on nutrition, movement, rest, and relationships while practicing healthier routines they can continue at home after residential treatment.
