We were founded as an effort to organize people like us, who had been in the mental health and addiction system, to claim or reclaim their lives. Our lived experience also demonstrates that through the power of mutual support, people can move from being in a state of hopelessness to finding personal satisfaction, connectedness, and a new purpose in life. We achieve this by introducing people to self-directed recovery tools that can increase mastery over physical, spiritual and emotional health, increasing “valued life experiences” by supporting community presence, participation and contribution and assisting people to find their own unique voice and connect to their personal power.
