About Recovery Centers of America Virtual IOP
Named among Newsweek’s America’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers, Recovery Centers of America (RCA) provides Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) care across several states, including Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. Adults can use the program as a step-down after residential or detox care or begin at this level when appropriate, receiving structured treatment for substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions through secure video sessions.
Navigate Recovery with 7 Guiding Principles
RCA follows 7 core tenets it identifies as important to sustained recovery:
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to reduce cravings and relapse
- Daily 12-Step recovery support
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care
- Family involvement, education, support groups, and resources
- Alumni support during transition and ongoing recovery
- Measurement-driven care using progress data
- Case management for care coordination and treatment planning
How Virtual Treatment Fits Real Life
RCA’s Virtual IOP typically includes 9 to 15 hours of treatment each week. Clients join group therapy, individual counseling, and skill-building workshops focused on relapse prevention and life management. The care team maintains ongoing communication throughout treatment, and family support services are also included. As treatment intensity decreases, RCA can transition clients to reduced-frequency outpatient care, alumni events, ongoing peer support, and continued family education.
