About Pyramid Harrisburg Outpatient Treatment
Pyramid Harrisburg Outpatient Treatment Center offers treatment for adults and teens with substance use and mental health concerns. Pyramid Healthcare seeks to make treatment affordable, accepting most private insurance and Medicaid.
Pyramid offers day treatment, meeting 5-6 hours per day, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), meeting 3-4 hours per day, 3 days per week, and traditional outpatient treatment, meeting about 4 hours per week, as well as DUI assessments at this location. All outpatient programs are also available for adolescents ages 12-17. Pyramid offers walk-in services for all clients Monday-Thursday from 10 AM - 3 PM.
Pyramid Harrisburg Outpatient Treatment Center offers individual therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) as well as peer support from others who have gone through addiction. Clients engage in group therapy specific to their conditions, learning coping and relapse-prevention strategies, sharing their experience with others and learning from others in similar circumstances. Clients and their loved ones participate in family or couples counseling aimed at increasing understanding and communication, with family support groups available. Pyramid Harrisburg offers specialized treatment for adolescents which includes groups tailored to the needs of teens.
Collaborating with patients, psychiatrists prescribe and manage medications for co-occurring mental health conditions. Pyramid offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults only to help clients with opiate and alcohol cravings.
Located on the east shore in Uptown, Pyramid Harrisburg Outpatient Treatment Center provides access to residents throughout the greater Harrisburg area. Running along the Susquehanna River across the street, the Capital Area Greenbelt provides convenient biking access to the building. Bus line 3 stops about a block from the center at N 2nd Street and Lewis Street. Clients traveling via car enjoy convenient access to I-81, with free parking available at the center. Pyramid further provides transportation for clients enrolled in day treatment and the intensive outpatient program (IOP).
