About PrairieCare Mankato
This outpatient facility is a part of a large network of psychiatric care services throughout the state of Minnesota. The location in Mankato specializes in outpatient programs for youth and adults. They offer partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for both youth and adults with mental health disorders. Additionally, they offer outpatient services for adults, which include family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatry and accelerated resolution therapy (ART).
Each client that comes to PrairieCare receives a needs assessment to ensure they are being treated adequately. Each client can access psychiatric care, individual therapy and family therapy while in treatment. The therapies that are used for children and adolescents in the PHP include art therapy and play therapy, among others. The length of the PHP from 3-5 weeks, depending on the progress of the client.
