About Passages Malibu
For over 20 years, Passages Malibu has been a predominant rehabilitation facility. It was founded by Chris and Pax Prentiss, a father and son duo. Chris Prentiss witnessed his son Pax struggle with addiction and multiple relapses for many years. As a result, he and his son created a non 12-Step, holistic plan to help Pax break free from his substance abuse cycles. This realization led them to founding Passages to help inspire others with individualized and holistic treatments. Pax Prentiss is now the CEO of Passages and runs multiple locations working to inspire change and transformation in people who are struggling just like he did.
Passages Malibu believes that addiction is not a disease. They believe that 4 underlying conditions cause addictions: 1. A chemical imbalance, 2. events of the past you have not reconciled with, 3. current conditions you can not cope with, and 4. things you believe that aren't true.
When you check into Passages Malibu, you will be assigned your own team of therapists, that could include marriage and family therapists, and you will receive psychotherapy, acupuncture, sound therapy, music therapy, personal training, hypnotherapy, and more. During your time at Passages, you will experience between 60–80 hours of one-on-one therapy sessions per month. Passages Malibu provides beautiful private living quarters with panoramic views of the ocean, queen size beds, spacious walk-in closets, jacuzzi tubs, aromatherapy air diffusers and daily housekeeping services in a facility that sits on 10-acres of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Passages Malibu also provides luxury amenities, including outdoor seating and dining, a large luxurious pool and jacuzzi, tennis courts, and a fitness center.
