About Transitions Behavioral Health
Established in 2010 by Jessica Beckett and Rebecca Kaiser, Transitions Behavioral Health is a state-certified outpatient clinic in Portage, Wisconsin, treating mental health conditions and substance use disorders (SUD). Their master's-level clinicians serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. The clinic emphasizes strengths-based goals for clients navigating difficult life transitions.
Mental Health and Addiction Counseling
Clinicians provide outpatient counseling for depression, grief, trauma, family conflict, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Dually licensed mental health and substance use therapists conduct alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) and mental health assessments. They address underlying mental health conditions and trauma alongside addiction and involve family members in treatment, working with family relationships as part of the recovery process.
Community Services and Crisis Assistance
Through a contract with Columbia County Health and Human Services, the clinic provides Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) service facilitation for county-referred clients. Participants can also access Independent Skill Development Education (ISDE) services focused on education, nutrition, and wellness management. Existing clients can contact a staff-maintained, 24-hour telephone crisis line, but the clinic does not provide mobile crisis response.
