The Freedom Room
About The Freedom Room
The Freedom Room, founded by qualified addiction counsellor Rachel Acres, provides structured support for individuals recovering from alcohol use disorder. The 12-week program fits around daily life, offering guidance from a team with lived experience in recovery. It focuses on building a stable, sober lifestyle through practical tools, counselling, and ongoing support.
Develop Healthier Habits Through Guided Support
Each week includes individual counselling and small group support in a calm, welcoming setting. Participants receive tools to manage stress, explore emotions, and build healthy routines. Therapeutic approaches—such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotional freedom techniques (EFT), and mindfulness—support recovery and help address co-occurring issues like trauma, anxiety, and depression. The center also provides simple wellness features, including access to a massage chair and quiet spaces that support rest and reflection.
Maintain Progress With Continued Connection
Support continues beyond weekly sessions through regular check-ins and recovery meetings. Because all staff have personal experience with addiction and recovery, the environment promotes trust, connection, and understanding. The program focuses on relapse prevention and long-term well-being, helping individuals stay grounded and resilient as they rebuild their lives without alcohol.
