About Sagent Big Lake
Sagent Behavioral Health in Big Lake, located on Jefferson Boulevard, serves children, teens, adults, couples, and families. The center provides child and family therapy, individual and couples therapy, psychiatry and medication management, psychological testing, and substance use treatment. Clients can receive care for mental health, relationship, and developmental concerns. They provide treatment and support to help clients address anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, self-harm, and other mental and developmental concerns.
Understanding What You're Facing
Clinicians use approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, motivational interviewing, narrative and solution-focused therapy, play therapy, and sand tray therapy based on their training and the client's needs. The clinic also provides substance use treatment for adults and adolescents. Adult programming includes intensive outpatient and outpatient care, while teens ages 12–18 can enter an intensive program or a 6-week first-time program for those with little or no previous treatment experience. Substance use services can include individual and group counseling, family programming, drug screening, relapse-prevention work, peer support, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate.
Testing and Access to Care
Sagent evaluates patients ages 3 and older to clarify mental health diagnoses and assess attention, learning, cognitive, and autism-related concerns. The testing process includes an initial interview, testing sessions, and a feedback appointment to review results. New patients can request an appointment online, and Sagent's team contacts them to schedule care. The clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
