About Centerstone St. Louis - Chippewa Street
Centerstone Chippewa Street in St. Louis treats adults with alcohol or drug use and co-occurring mental health concerns through outpatient and intensive outpatient care. Along with individual and group counseling, the center offers case management, disease management, and employment support. Its distinct programs include Achieving Recovery, Resiliency & Responsibility Through Creativity (ARTC) and the Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program (SATOP) for alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses.
Build Recovery Skills Through Counseling and Creativity
Counselors help clients recognize substance use patterns, manage triggers, and prevent relapse through counseling, recovery planning, and group discussions. ARTC adds drawing, poetry, music, and creative projects to help clients express feelings and practice communication skills. SATOP begins with an assessment that determines the required education or intervention program, which may include individual counseling and group sessions. Case managers also coordinate treatment and connect clients with healthcare, employment, and other daily needs.
