About Pine Rest Kalamazoo Clinic
Located along Nichols Road near Alamo Avenue, the clinic provides outpatient mental health and addiction services for children, teens, adults, and families in Kalamazoo and nearby communities. Clients can meet in person or through telehealth for therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, and medication management. The clinic addresses concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavior issues in children and teens, substance use disorders (SUD), and relationship challenges.
Evidence-based Approaches and Services
Therapists, psychiatrists, and addiction specialists use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Services include individual, couples, family, and group therapy, Christian counseling, and psychological evaluations for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), school-related concerns, and other needs. When needed, the clinic coordinates referrals to inpatient treatment, medical detox, and day treatment (PHP).
Specialized Substance Use Treatment
The team includes an addiction medicine specialist and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselors who provide outpatient care for people with both mental health and substance use disorders. The clinic offers assessment, therapy, group services, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Clients also benefit from coordinated access to Pine Rest’s full behavioral health network.
