About Northern Illinois Recovery Center - Outpatient
Northern Illinois Recovery Center's outpatient campus in Crystal Lake, Illinois treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions for adults requiring structured clinical care. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) are offered at this campus, allowing clients to fluidly transition through the appropriate level of care without changing providers, therapists, or facilities.
For those requiring additional support, Northern Illinois Recovery Center offers boarded housing for adult programming, pairing treatment with a living environment that fosters accountability, support, and additional resources to ensure patients are moving through the levels of care successfully and are prepared for life in recovery.
Under a full continuum of care, the center also offers evidence-based treatment options including detox and residential, medication-assisted treatment, and more.
The programs are licensed by IDHS/SUPR and accredited by The Joint Commission.
Match the Level of Care to the Need
Most clients enter at the level their clinical assessment indicates and step down over time. PHP is the most structured option available, running 5 days a week, typically across 4 to 8 weeks. IOP is a step down from PHP, running 3 to 5 days a week, usually across 8 to 12 weeks. IOP is offered both during daytime and evening hours, providing clients with the flexibility needed to attend treatment and receive the support they need while still living at home and continuing on with their daily responsibilities.
Work Through Proven Therapies
Northern Illinois Recovery Center’s outpatient programs combine individual, group, and family therapy with evidence-based modalities and holistic options like mindfulness, yoga, and art therapy. Topic-based groups such as grief & loss, trauma recovery, routine-building, relationships, and co-occurring mental health and substance use are also included in programming. Clients collaborate with their care team to determine the right balance of topics and skills best suited to their identified treatment needs and goals, allowing for the opportunity to go in depth in particular areas as well as experience a variety of treatment approaches.
Know What to Expect
For a lot of people, substance use isn't the whole story. There's anxiety that came first, or depression, or trauma that hasn’t been addressed. These things tend to feed each other. Treating one and putting off the other usually doesn't hold, because whichever one you leave alone keeps pulling the other back. Northern Illinois Recovery Center prioritize’s treating the full person, under one plan and one team.
