About North Carolina Center for Resiliency - Chapel Hill
Making balance and change feel within reach, North Carolina Center for Resiliency helps children, teens, and adults treat anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, and burnout through individual, couples, and family therapy alongside psychiatric medication management. Clients can attend appointments on-site or connect virtually between weekly or biweekly sessions based on clinical needs.
Evidence-Based Therapy and Psychiatry
Treatment begins with each client’s goals, strengths, pace, and readiness for change. Clinicians use cognitive behavioral therapy to examine thought patterns, dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness-based practices to manage intense emotions, and motivational interviewing to strengthen follow-through. Their trauma-informed care guides the process, while their somatic experiencing and sensorimotor psychotherapy address breathing, movement, body sensations, and fight-flight-freeze responses. Their art therapy and positive psychology add nonverbal and strengths-based ways to process trauma.
Lifestyle and Treatment Consultations
North Carolina Center for Resiliency’s consultations help clients identify the best fit and program for their mental and physical healthcare needs. They range from 2-hour evaluations to week-long assessments of family or lifestyle dynamics. Clients leave with recommendations to guide their next steps in treatment and daily life. Insurance does not cover this service.
