About New Directions Mental Health - McCandless
Located west of Allegheny County Memorial Park, New Directions Mental Health provides outpatient therapy, psychiatry, medication management, and telehealth for children, teens, and adults. They treat anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, stress, trauma, sleep disorders, anger, and anorexia. Clients can attend appointments in person or online while continuing work, school, and family routines.
Therapy and Psychiatric Care
Treatment may include counseling, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management based on each client’s needs. Some clinicians use mindfulness-based and person-centered therapy. Others incorporate art, music, movement, and writing into sessions to help clients work through emotions and practice coping skills.
Location, Hours, and Insurance
They are located at 5500 Corporate Drive, Suite 300, in a large corporate building with free parking, front-door access, and an elevator to the third floor. Hours run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; early morning, evening, and weekend appointments may be available. Most major insurance plans are accepted across the network, including Medicare and Medicaid, but clients should verify location-specific coverage.
