Helping people across the lifespan build stability, independence, and healthier relationships, Merakey Waterdam Plaza is a behavioral health and developmental services center for adults, people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, young adults, and families. They address psychiatric conditions, developmental needs, communication barriers, behavioral concerns, and family challenges through coordinated clinical, developmental, and youth services.

Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward through recovery, resilience, dignity, choice, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
