Merakey South Main Street

Creating safer and healthier futures for children and families, Merakey South Main Street is a child, family, and foster care services center for young people, birth families, and foster families. They address emotional difficulties, behavioral health concerns, family conflict, school challenges, placement-related needs, and problems affecting stability at home through youth therapy, family-centered care, and child-welfare services.

Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward through resilience, stronger relationships, family stability, and hope for lasting wellbeing.
