About Merakey South Main Street
Creating safer and healthier futures for children and families, Merakey South Main Street is a child, family, and foster care services center for young people, birth families, and foster families. They address emotional difficulties, behavioral health concerns, family conflict, school challenges, placement-related needs, and problems affecting stability at home through youth therapy, family-centered care, and child-welfare services.
Guide Families toward Stability
They provide youth therapy and psychiatry, family-centered treatment, school and community care, crisis guidance, child-welfare assistance, and family-strengthening programs. Their foster care services also address caregiving, placement stability, reunification, and the emotional wellbeing of children and families navigating change. Together, these services help families build safer relationships, clearer routines, and a more stable path forward.
Build Safer Futures Together
Located along South Main Street, this center is part of Merakey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people, families, and communities. Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward through resilience, stronger relationships, family stability, and hope for lasting wellbeing.
