About Merakey North Clayton Street
Helping children stay safe and families build lasting stability, Merakey North Clayton Street is a child and family services center for children, adolescents, and families involved with behavioral health or child-welfare systems. They address family stress, parenting challenges, emotional concerns, safety risks, and circumstances that threaten placement stability through case management, prevention services, and reunification-focused care.
Strengthen Safety and Stability
They offer Delaware Case Management to help families address child-welfare concerns and reduce unnecessary foster care placement. To strengthen stability at home, their Pathways 1 Prevention program connects families with practical resources, parenting guidance, and behavioral healthcare. When a child has already been removed, Family Interventionist Peer services support reunification by helping families rebuild safer relationships and work toward a more stable return home.
Build Stronger Family Futures
Located along North Clayton Street, this center is part of Merakey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people, families, and communities. Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward through safety, stronger family relationships, reunification, and long-term stability.
