About Merakey Bradshaw Road
Guided by a mission to build stability, independence, and fuller community life, Merakey Bradshaw Road is a community-based behavioral health and developmental services center for adults with mental health conditions and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. They address emotional distress, serious mental illness, communication needs, behavioral concerns, and barriers affecting housing, employment, relationships, self-care, and everyday routines through personalized recovery and skill-building services.
Build Skills and Stability
They combine outpatient therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, case management, behavior services, life-skills training, employment support, and coordination with healthcare and community resources. Their developmental services also strengthen communication, personal safety, social skills, and daily living. For adults with both mental health and developmental needs, they coordinate care that connects symptom management with practical goals for home, work, and community life.
Carry Purpose into Practice
Located along Bradshaw Road, this center is part of Merakey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people, families, and communities. Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward through personalized, community-based care that supports recovery, dignity, personal choice, and greater independence.
