About In The Gap Academy
Born from a vision to address gaps in traditional substance use and reentry services, In The Gap Academy delivers culturally grounded, trauma-informed outpatient care across Maryland for individuals and families, including returning citizens, adolescents (14+) and young adults, court-referred clients, and families navigating crisis, conflict, or trauma. The center emphasizes practical and coordinated partnerships with providers, courts, schools, and probation officers.
Flexible Care Across Treatment Levels
Built around a full outpatient continuum, the facility offers day treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), early intervention, and DUI/DWI education and treatment programs. PHP provides 5 to 6 hours of services per day, 5 days per week, while IOP delivers at least 9 hours of care across 3 to 5 days each week. The DUI/DWI program runs 12 to 26 weeks based on assessment and referral requirements.
Targeted Programs for Reentry
Going beyond standard outpatient services, ITG Academy offers specialized programs. Clients can participate in court-ordered treatment, reentry services, housing and transitional support, peer mentorship, employment readiness, life skills training, individual and family counseling, parent coaching, and justice-involved support. Specialized curricula include marijuana education for adolescents, certified anger management, and community education workshops covering substance use prevention, grief and trauma.
