About Growth Works - Canton
Located within the Canton Human Services Center near Cherry Hill Road, Growth Works provides nonprofit outpatient care for adults and adolescents with substance use disorder (SUD), co-occurring mental health concerns, trauma, and justice involved individuals. Services include assessments, outpatient drug treatment, relapse prevention, and peer recovery coaching to help people build stability in daily life. Customer service is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering a clear first step toward treatment and recovery.
Practice Safety in Steps
Through a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach, Growth Works in Canton helps participants identify triggers, express feelings safely, build healthy relationships, understand family patterns, and strengthen communication. Before group placement, each person completes an assessment that reviews strengths and needs. For those who have shown sobriety after outpatient treatment, relapse prevention adds continued structure to help protect progress.
Carry Recovery Through Community
Since 1971, Growth Works has served Southeast Michigan as a private nonprofit focused on hope, change, and stronger lives. The Canton location also offers peer recovery coaching led by trained coaches with lived recovery experience. Coaches connect people to treatment, health care, life skills training, employment resources, overdose prevention education, Narcan training, and other recovery resources. Growth Works holds Joint Commission accreditation and remains rooted in Western Wayne County partnerships.
