About Community Counseling Clinic
Located in St. Edward’s Campus, Community Counseling Clinic offers low-cost outpatient counseling for individuals, couples, families, and children ages 4 and older. Graduate counseling students and interns conduct sessions under direct supervision from licensed faculty. Clients can attend in person or use telehealth if they live in Texas, and they also offer counseling in Spanish. Individual sessions cost $15, while couples and family sessions cost $20. They may adjust fees based on clients’ financial circumstances.
Skills-Based Groups and Therapy
They run 5-8-week psychoeducational groups for adults in the Austin community. Graduate counseling interns lead the groups under clinical supervision and use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and real-world practice. Groups focus on practical skills, shared experiences, and resilience. They offer these groups at low or no cost.
Parenting and Access Details
Community Counseling Clinic is also developing a parenting support series. The series covers positive parenting frameworks, child development, behavioral challenges, and ways parents can strengthen relationships with their children. They serve the broader community through its university-based setting and statewide telehealth services.
