About Centerstone Columbia - Stephens Lake
Centered on walk-in psychiatric and crisis services, Centerstone Columbia - Stephens Lake provides short-term stabilization, brief therapy, and immediate psychiatric care. The center also treats opioid use through medication-assisted treatment (MAT), bringing mental health and substance use services together in one outpatient setting.
Psychiatric and Opioid Treatment
Psychiatrists use outpatient therapy and medication management to treat depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, PTSD, and ADHD. For opioid use, the center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) alongside behavioral health care. Peer support services give clients additional assistance during treatment.
Crisis and Forensic Services
Staff conduct psychiatric assessments, initial assessments, and eligibility determinations for people seeking crisis care. They observe clients for up to 24 hours when needed, evaluate their situations, and determine appropriate next steps. Centerstone provides forensic services for people involved in the criminal justice system and works with local courts and community partners to support re-entry. Staff refer clients to follow-up treatment when they need continued services.
