About Carson Valley Health Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic
Designed for adults 65 and up, this intensive outpatient program (IOP) supports individuals living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, grief, sleep issues, and chronic pain. Their care starts with an evaluation and admission to an outpatient schedule at the hospital’s behavioral health clinic. The program begins three days per week and steps down as progress is made. Their sessions run mid-mornings from Monday to Wednesday, with lunch provided.
Compassionate Outpatient Setting Close To Home
The program blends group therapy, one-on-one therapy, and family sessions with integrated psychiatric medication management. A board-certified psychiatrist leads the program, supported by a team of therapists, registered nurses, and case managers. Their team tailors each plan to personal goals, helping older adults build connections, practice coping skills, and find relief in a supportive, outpatient setting close to home.
Free Coping with Change Support Group
Beyond the IOP, seniors can connect with a free Coping With Change support group offered locally on designated Wednesdays, creating an extra space for community and resilience. Their program is part of Carson Valley Health, which accepts most major insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
