Located in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Braincare Performance Center - Cardiff provides non-invasive, drug-free care for mental health, sleep, neurological, and cognitive concerns. The center uses quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG)-guided magnetic e-resonance therapy (MeRT) for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chronic insomnia, autism, brain injuries, cognitive decline, and addiction recovery. They also provide repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) specifically for depression.

Brain-Guided Treatment and Clinical Review

Clients begin care with a free phone or online consultation with a patient care coordinator to discuss services, insurance coverage, and next steps. The center provides qEEG brain mapping and EKG testing to help guide treatment, followed by MeRT or rTMS when appropriate. They also provide cognitive performance services and brain-based support for addiction recovery. MeRT and rTMS are noninvasive treatments completed while clients remain awake, allowing them to return to their usual activities after appointments.

Weekday Treatment and Ongoing Review

MeRT and rTMS programs generally run 4–8 weeks, with 35–40-minute appointments Monday through Friday. During MeRT treatment, the center repeats qEEG testing after each 2-week treatment phase to track changes and help determine whether to continue or adjust treatment.
