About Brain Treatment Center - San Diego
As the flagship MeRT center, Brain Treatment Center - San Diego has treated thousands of clients since 2008 across their San Diego and Newport Beach locations. This outpatient neuromodulation clinic specializes in personalized brain-based care for children, adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury, concussion, autism spectrum disorder, cognitive decline, dementia, Parkinson disease, stroke after-effects, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They provide Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy (MeRT) and standard repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), using quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) brain mapping, electrocardiogram (EKG) testing, and clinical evaluation to develop individualized treatment plans.
Personalized Neuromodulation
Brain Treatment Center - San Diego uses qEEG brain mapping and EKG findings to tailor MeRT for each client’s brain activity. The clinical team adjusts the location, frequency, and intensity of magnetic stimulation instead of following a fixed treatment protocol. They also provide standard rTMS using FDA-cleared protocols for major depressive disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), giving individuals access to both personalized and standard neuromodulation based on their clinical evaluation.
Structured Outpatient Care
Care begins with diagnostic testing and a consultation before regular outpatient treatment sessions start. The clinical team repeats qEEG testing throughout care to monitor changes in brain activity and refine treatment when needed. Brain Treatment Center - San Diego also coordinates with physicians, mental health professionals, and rehabilitation providers to support continuous care. A dedicated client coordinator helps children, adults, older adults, military families, and veterans understand scheduling, insurance, and each step of the treatment process.
