About Bloc Outpatient
Balance House Extended Care is the phase 2 of the treatment program supporting young adults men ages 18-35 trying to break free from behavioral health issues to gain full whole-person recovery. This treatment is provided at the Balance House outpatient center located at Salt Lake City, Utah.
Experience 30-45 Days Off Structured Care
The Extended Care program offers a 30-45 days of structured and supportive care. Young men often come in needing help with challenges related to substance use, anxiety, isolation, depression, chronic gaming, anger and co-occurring issues. Every week, clients take part in about 10 hours of treatment activities, including group therapy, outside support meetings. Peer-based recreational activities like hiking, biking, skiing or snowboarding keep clients stay active, maintain healthy peer connections and shift attention away from harmful or impulsive thoughts. Clients are also required to meeting with the Medical Director twice a month for individual sessions and attend multiple weekly meetings with case manager to help monitor with personal recovery goals.
Individualized Care For Men
This center uses a thoughtful and individualized methods to support men as they build healthier routines and learn how to manage daily life challenges in a more positive way. Treatment is focused on helping clients become more confident, productive and independent, as they prepare to re-engage their respective families and communities. Every step is well guided, and filled-with support from highly trained staff and peers. With this supportive approaches, the center encourages every client as they rebuild their lives with hope, steady progress and healthier well-being.

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT

This center accepts patients receiving MAT prescribed elsewhere for opioid use disorder, but does not provide MAT.
