Recognizing the pace of life in the Bronx, Arms Acres provides flexible outpatient addiction treatment for teens and adults with drug, opioid, and alcohol dependence, as well as co-occurring disorders. The center provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, assessments, drug testing, and individual, group, and family counseling. They also have telehealth and day, evening, and weekend programming with the clinic open 6 days a week.
Healing With Medication and Therapy
The center provides medication-assisted treatment using methadone or suboxone alongside evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy. The team combines medication with relapse prevention planning and recovery skills training to support treatment goals.
Support Beyond Treatment
Arms Acres also offers recovery coach services, criminal justice support, an adolescent program, parenting services, and DMV evaluations in English and Spanish. Certified recovery coaches help clients apply coping skills, connect with community resources, and build relapse prevention plans. The facility includes a Spanish-language Latino program for clients who primarily speak Spanish and prefer treatment in their native language.
