About ARC Psychiatry - Westlake
The ARC Psychiatry Westlake office treats adults 18 and older for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, and other concerns, with psychiatric prescribers and licensed counselors working in one practice that patients can reach in person or by video. Psychological testing and genetic testing are available alongside therapy, and appointments run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with telehealth and additional hours on request.
Consider Brain Stimulation for Depression and OCD
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive option for adults with major depression or OCD who have not improved enough on medication. A Westlake nurse practitioner completed a visiting fellowship in TMS at Duke University. Patients stay awake and alert during sessions, TMS is always delivered in person, and the team completes pre-authorization to help confirm coverage before treatment begins.
Find Counselors Who Fit Specific Needs
Westlake counselors see adults for anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, codependency, substance use, and trauma, using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and individual, couples, family, and group formats. Several list experience with veterans, military-affiliated adults, first responders, and LGBTQ+ clients, so patients can look for a clinician who understands their background and daily realities, and who can work in the format that suits them best.
Address Trauma and Medication Needs Together
PTSD therapy uses eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which pairs side-to-side eye movements with traumatic memories and emotions in weekly 55-minute sessions. Prescribers can adjust medication alongside therapy, and genetic testing from a saliva or blood sample can guide those medication choices over time. Follow-up visits are available in person or by Zoom, with flexible appointment times for working adults.
