About Achieve Behavior Alliance Plus - Dothan
Located northeast of Ramsey Park, Achieve Behavior Alliance Plus serves children, teens, and adults with autism and developmental or behavioral challenges. They deliver applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, parent training, participant assistance, music therapy, recreational therapy, and career planning. Depending on the service and location, clients may receive care at home, in a clinic, at school, or in the community. Some ABA services also run after school and on weekends.
ABA, Daily Skills, and Family Training
Clinicians use ABA, play-based learning, positive reinforcement, and behavior strategies to work on communication, social skills, routines, transitions, repetitive behaviors, emotional regulation, and daily living tasks. Clients may practice these skills through games, movement, arts and crafts, team activities, home routines, and community outings. Parent training teaches caregivers how to use the same strategies between sessions. Participant assistance also helps clients practice daily tasks and community skills in real-life settings.
Recreation, Music, and Career Planning
Music therapy works on communication, attention, emotional regulation, and social interaction. Recreational therapy uses games, movement, outdoor activities, arts, and group play to reinforce behavioral and social goals. Career services help older clients identify strengths, explore jobs, build workplace skills, and prepare for competitive employment or self-employment. They accept most major insurance plans and accept Medicaid, waiver funding, and private pay.
