About Eleanor Young Outpatient Clinic
Set in the South End neighborhood of Albany, Eleanor Young Outpatient Clinic (EYOC) supports adults in the Capital Region and their families in recovering from substance use disorders and related challenges. They take clients who reach out voluntarily plus clients from healthcare or court referrals. Their services include outpatient individual and group counseling, state approved DWI assessments, peer support, and community outreach events.
Support In-Person or Online
EYOC is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Clients can register in-person, over the phone, or online. Their therapy program operates in-person and virtually. The in-person option includes art therapy and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to reduce cravings. EYOC's licensed staff can administer the medications of Suboxone, Subutex, and Vivitrol.
Additional Resources
EYOC's parent is Peter Young Housing Industries Treatment (PYHIT). PYHIT is named for Father Peter G Young, a priest, activist, and Navy veteran. The organization can also connect clients with recovery peer advocates and transitional housing, including housing inside this building. They also operate the sister center Baywood Center up in Queensbury.

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
