Located along Duncan Creek, Lutheran Social Services offers outpatient counseling for youth and adults with substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health concerns. Clients can attend individual, couples, family, or group counseling in person or by telehealth, depending on the program. They also complete substance use assessments and treat concerns related to alcohol, cannabis, methamphetamine, opioids, cocaine, tobacco, depression, anxiety, trauma, and major life changes.

Therapy for Trauma and Daily Functioning

Clinicians use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) for trauma-related concerns. Treatment may also include trauma skills groups and family counseling. They combine mental health and substance use counseling when both concerns are present. When clients need psychiatry, medication services, or medication-assisted treatment (MAT), clinicians may refer them to outside medical providers instead of providing those services onsite.

Flexible Outpatient Access

Clients can attend treatment without entering residential care, which allows them to continue work, school, and family responsibilities between appointments. They offer outpatient services in several communities and may also provide community-based care in some areas.
