Options Behavioral Health System is an 84-bed mental health treatment center on the northeast side of Indy, near Lawrence and the I-465 loop. They carry certifications from the Joint Commission, Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction, and Indiana Hospital Association.

The daily schedule is slightly different for clients doing treatment for both mental health and substance use.
Treatment includes individual and group therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), 12-Step Facilitation, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, recreation therapy, solution-focused therapy, systems therapy, reality therapy, and medication management. A typical day also includes time for reflection, structured games, and readings. Each week, Options updates clients' families on the client's progress.
Treatment Levels
The staff at Options Behavioral Health System provide residential, day, and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment. In the residential treatment, staff are available 24/7 and make sure clients detox safely. The staff receive training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and other de-escalation techniques to prevent self-harm or interpersonal conflicts.
Aftercare
Staff review clients' progress each afternoon. When they determine clients are ready for discharge, they can write referrals to outpatient therapy or longer-term rehab. They schedule outpatient therapy appointments within a week of a patient's discharge.
