New Freedom Academy (NFA) Salem is an outpatient addiction treatment center. As part of Granite Recovery Centers' network, NFA Salem offers a structured, step-down approach to care, transitioning clients from more intensive programs like day treatment (PHP) to intensive outpatient program (IOP) as they progress in their recovery journey. The facility emphasizes a blend of evidence-based therapies and 12-Step programming for a comprehensive approach.
NFA Salem provides a range of services, such as individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and specialized programs such as dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders. The center also offers holistic therapies like yoga and meditation, as well as trauma-informed care and relapse prevention strategies. Clients in the IOP attend sessions from 9:00 AM to 12:20 PM, three times a week, participating in three group sessions per day and receiving breakfast and lunch during their visits.
NFA Salem serves adults aged 18 and older, including veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community, providing both in-person and telehealth options to accommodate various preferences and needs. The facility is staffed by licensed clinicians and recovery professionals, including some alumni of the program, bringing personal insight and empathy to their roles. NFA Salem accepts most major insurance plans, making its services accessible to a broader population.
