About Mount Carmel Behavioral Health
Mount Carmel Behavioral Health’s inpatient program offers compassionate, around-the-clock care for adults facing psychiatric challenges, delivered by a dedicated team of professionals committed to close support and supervision. From the moment they arrive, clients are met with a personalized approach to care, beginning with a comprehensive assessment that explores their current challenges and helps shape a supportive path forward in treatment.
Mount Carmel uses an evidence-based approach to support clients through behavioral health concerns. Clients may engage in evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapies—each designed to empower them with practical skills and strategies for navigating challenges with confidence and resilience. Clients have access to daily group and experiential therapies, while individual and family therapy sessions are provided based on each person’s needs.
This 80-bed facility is designed to foster healing by balancing connection and privacy, offering shared rooms that encourage a sense of community, along with en-suite bathrooms. Clients have access to a variety of community spaces, including dedicated areas for group therapy, a spacious cafeteria, and a modern gym featuring a basketball hoop. For individuals seeking psychiatric support without the need for inpatient treatment, Mount Carmel’s intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers a well-balanced alternative. Designed for those facing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders, the program provides specialized care within a structured environment. IOP typically includes therapeutic programming for three hours a day, three days a week.
Mount Carmel is committed to delivering evidence-based care that gives clients the strongest possible foundation for lasting recovery. By integrating established behavioral therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with solution-focused and brief therapeutic approaches, clients gain practical tools to navigate both immediate challenges and long-term struggles.
Mount Carmel understands that discharge can be overwhelming. As clients prepare to leave, they will receive a detailed discharge plan to support them through the re-integration process. Their plan will include professional referrals for continuing care, community resources, and any other necessary information that can support them in the long run.
For clients presenting with acute mental health concerns, including psychosis, psychotic disorders, and mood disorders, they can rely on Mount Carmel to receive intensive care. During their five- to seven-day stay, they will have the chance to stabilize and heal with the help of a supportive, professional team who is available around the clock.
