About Living Hope Eating Disorder Treatment Oklahoma
Located in Norman, Oklahoma, Living Hope Eating Disorders Treatment Center offers holistic treatment for adolescents, adults, and children of all genders. Their multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and dieticians work together to treat patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, PICA, ARFID, OSFED and rumination. While specializing in eating disorders, Living Hope also focuses on individual needs, including mood disorders, trauma, body image issues, and social stressors. Individualized treatment includes nutrition planning and supervision as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and art therapy options. Living Hope offers a residential program with 12 beds, as well as day treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient programs.
Trees surround the residential center where clients can enjoy gardens, walking paths, outdoor patios, and a pool. Living Hope provides 24/7 medical care, including medical stabilization and weekly evaluations with the Medical Director. Clients attend weekly dietetic sessions, daily monitored blind weight and vital signs, staff-supported meals and snacks, and meal coaching. Clients also participate in 2-3 weekly therapy sessions and one psychiatric evaluation as part of weekly treatment plans. Living Hope hosts Family Day once monthly, visiting hours on weekends, and case-by-case family therapy.
Living Hope offers a Day Treatment, or Partial Hospitalization Program, which is 5 days per week, 9 hours per day. Patients receive individualized treatment plans, medical evaluations, therapy sessions, dietetic sessions, staff-supported meals and snacks, monitored blind weight and vital signs, art therapy, group therapy 6-8 hours daily, including culinary skills groups. The Intensive Outpatient Program offers similar services, but is 3.5 hours per day up to 5 days per week, with sessions either in the morning or afternoon. Both Day Treatment and the Intensive Outpatient Programs offer a monthly Family Day. Outpatient Treatment begins with a two-hour comprehensive health assessment and physical exam. Outpatient psychotherapy, counseling and dietetic sessions are available for individuals or families. Children under age 12 are welcome in the Outpatient Program. Living Hope also has an Outpatient Clinic in Bentonville, AR where clients can access all outpatient treatment options.
