About Family First Intervention
Helping families navigate addiction, mental health challenges, and treatment decisions, Family First Intervention provides nationwide intervention services, family recovery coaching, treatment placement, and therapeutic transport coordination. Founded in 2008, the organization supports families across all 50 states through in-person and virtual services, with offices in Mokena, Illinois and Phoenix, Arizona. Their approach focuses not only on helping a loved one enter treatment, but also on teaching families how to create lasting change within the home environment.
Guiding Families Toward Treatment
Family First Intervention helps families prepare for and conduct professional interventions for individuals struggling with substance use, mental health disorders, or co-occurring conditions. Interventionists work closely with family members to develop personalized plans, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, and encourage treatment acceptance. The organization also assists with treatment placement, helping families identify appropriate programs based on clinical needs, financial considerations, and long-term recovery goals.
Supporting Recovery Beyond the Intervention
Services extend beyond the initial intervention through family recovery coaching and ongoing support. Families participate in education and coaching designed to help them understand addiction, mental health conditions, enabling behaviors, and healthy relationship dynamics. Family First also coordinates therapeutic transport services when needed, helping clients safely travel to treatment programs. Through its proprietary S.A.F.E.® (Self-Awareness Family Education) model, the organization emphasizes family involvement and practical tools that support recovery long after treatment begins.
