About Integrative Life Center Men's Intimacy Program
Integrative Life Center (ILC) provides men ages 18+ with a specialized treatment program for intimacy disorders, attachment disorders, love addiction, pornography addiction, relationship issues and problematic or compulsive sexual disorders. The program is a log cabin-style home located in the Nashville area, is 28 days long and houses 8 men. This intimate, intensive program offers 35 hours of group therapy per week and 2 individual sessions per week with master’s level therapists.
During this program, men will receive a combination of catered meals and house-prepared meals. While experiencing plenty of clinical treatment, the men are also required to see the medical team, where they will monitor medication and provide psychiatric care. Knowing that many people with sex addictions also have co-occurring disorders, the clinical and medical team work together to address depression, antisocial personality disorder, bipolar, and substance use disorder. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodrama therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing, the men are challenged to reflect on traumatic events, reflect on their lives, partner and relationships they are in. The clinicians use the Trauma Induced Sexual Addiction model (TINSA) which helps to identify and treat the sexual addiction through a neurobiological approach. They also offer a virtual partner support program, which simultaneously occurs during the mens’ residential treatment.
