About IU Health Addiction Treatment & Recovery Center - Avon
Just a few steps from the Hendricks County Courthouse, this center supports adults 18 and older facing challenges with drug, alcohol, or nicotine addiction. Care is outpatient, with flexible scheduling that fits around work and daily life. Their intensive programs offer structure without requiring overnight stays, helping people stay connected to their everyday routines.
Build Strength Through Support
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is combined with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance use disorders (SUD). Patients engage in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and recovery coaching to manage emotions, rebuild relationships, and develop healthier habits. Virtual care and aftercare help extend support beyond the program.
Restore Balance With Healing
Clients also take part in 12-step program education, mindfulness and meditation, and movement-based therapies like exercise and yoga. These offerings give space for reflection, calm, and physical healing supporting recovery in ways that feel gentle and grounding. Additionally, peer coaches with lived experience help guide the way when things feel uncertain.
