About Atrium Health Union
Restoring stability through medical and behavioral care, Atrium Health Union treats addiction, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, psychosis, and co-occurring disorders. Clients can access medical detox, day treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), school-based therapy, crisis services, and virtual support for youth ages 5-18, couples, pregnant women, and adults.
Integrate Counseling and Medication
Treatment starts with assessment and uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), 12-Step recovery principles, spiritual care, individual counseling, group therapy, family counseling, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Care teams help manage withdrawal, address psychiatric symptoms, practice coping skills, and plan next steps after treatment.
Access Specialized Recovery Programs
Atrium Health Union offers electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for severe or treatment-resistant depression and mood disorders. Specialized teams also treat maternal mental health during and after pregnancy, provide school-based therapy for children, and complete court-related evaluations and competency restoration. After treatment, patients can join group therapy, meet individually with a therapist, involve family in recovery education, and connect with community resources.
