About Avive Health - Mornington Peninsula
Supporting patients through different stages of treatment, Avive Health Mornington Peninsula delivers inpatient care, day programs, and outpatient psychiatry. The 60-bed private hospital supports adults with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders, with specialized programs for women, veterans, defence personnel, and first responders. Located in Mount Eliza, the hospital offers treatment in a coastal setting on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
Specialized Care for Complex Needs
Avive Health Mornington Peninsula helps patients understand symptoms, recognize triggers, and practice strategies they can use beyond treatment. Care may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, group and individual therapy, and therapeutic art. Day programs build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, communication, and relapse prevention. Specialized trauma care supports military and emergency service experiences, while transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is available for treatment-resistant depression.
Space for Treatment and Rest
During an inpatient stay, patients have a private room with an ensuite bathroom and receive nutritious, chef-prepared meals. Between treatment sessions, patients can create art in a dedicated art therapy room, spend time in landscaped outdoor areas, or relax in shared spaces. Set on a 2-hectare property in Mount Eliza, the hospital combines dedicated therapy and activity spaces with gardens and natural surroundings, giving patients room for both treatment and time away from clinical sessions.
