About Hope Academy
Hope Academy, near the University of Indianapolis, is Indiana's only accredited recovery high school, offering a tuition-free public charter education for grades 9-12. The school offers a safe, sober environment focused on academic and personal success, with free transportation throughout Indianapolis and nearby areas.
Hope Academy offers a comprehensive support system for students in recovery. The school integrates counseling and recovery support into its curriculum, helping ensure students receive the necessary resources to maintain sobriety while pursuing their education. Students attend 2 12-Step meetings each week, meet regularly with recovery coaches, use recovery tools like 90-in-90 journals, and engage in sober after school activities.
With an average class size of seven, the academy offers personalized attention, fostering a supportive community where students can thrive both academically and personally. Students engage in a rigorous Core 40 or Academic Honors curriculum and learn life skills such as time management, interviewing, personal finance, and resume writing.
