Founded by Chris Herren, former professional basketball player, recovery advocate and someone who knows first-hand the gift of living one day at a time, Herren Wellness offers a personalized, boutique experience with just 24 beds where every guest is truly seen. Whether someone is 18 or 75 struggling with substance use disorder or mental health challenges, they’ll find a community deeply rooted in recovery, supporting individuals and families through every stage of healing — from residential care to lifelong connection. While they require a four-week minimum stay to build a solid foundation, their average stay of 80 days allows for intentional work, building structure and support in recovery and healing.

Pursue New Meaning Beyond the Disease

Herren Wellness was built on a simple but powerful belief: Lasting recovery happens through connection, purpose, and community. Their leadership team brings together over 100 years of combined recovery, clinical expertise, and a shared commitment to treating the whole person. Programs are designed to support individuals and families with a focus on building the foundation for a meaningful life in recovery through individual life coaching, group work and holistic therapies.

They can continue attending process groups and meeting with the personal trainer. The large network of alumni keeps the spark alive through weekly on-campus meetings and Wednesday night Zoom meetings. If someone just got out of treatment or has years of sobriety, they are welcomed into the Herren Wellness community.

Fuel a Comeback with Authentic Connection
Fuel a Comeback with Authentic Connection
Chris Herren went from playing basketball for the Celtics to a battle with addiction that took almost everything from him. After surviving several overdoses and finding his way back, he realized that abstinence wasn't enough. He needed to rebuild his spirit and identity. He started Herren Wellness to move away from the clinical feel of rehab, creating a warm, community-driven space instead.
