Since 1899, the organization has provided mental health support and advocacy to individuals and families across Northeast Wisconsin. The center addresses depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship struggles through outpatient counseling, group therapy, and specialized programs. With a foundation built on protecting, healing, and caring, it has remained a steady presence in the community for more than 120 years.

Therapy Options Backed by Evidence

The center offers individual, group, family, and couples therapy, all guided by trauma-informed care. Services include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), substance use treatment, trauma-focused care, transgender-affirming therapy, and specialized support for survivors of sexual assault. Both in-person and virtual sessions are available, making treatment accessible and responsive to the needs of children, adolescents, and adults.

Expanding Care for Survivors and Specialized Needs

Alongside counseling, a Sexual Assault Center delivers 24/7 advocacy, medical and legal guidance, and peer groups for healing. The Women’s Recovery Journey program addresses addiction and mental health while involving families and offering childcare. Clinicians also extend expertise to athletes, helping them manage performance anxiety, boost confidence, and regulate emotions. Together, these services strengthen individuals, families, and communities through recovery.
