At Evolve Mount Helix, teens ages 12–17 find a place to be understood and supported while working through mental health, substance use, or behavioral challenges. With space for only six teens at a time, care is never crowded. Stays usually last 45–60 days and include round-the-clock supervision, regular therapy sessions, and support from psychiatry and nursing staff. Beyond traditional therapies, teens get to explore equine therapy, art, music, yoga, surfing, hiking, and more.
At Evolve, they give teens the tools and insights to change their lives. Every teen’s plan is built around their specific needs, combining psychiatry with therapies like DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing. This mix is intentional, layered, and flexible, giving teens exactly what they need. Families are part of the process too, learning the same skills so home becomes a place of understanding, not conflict. By weaving together these approaches, Evolve helps teens carry a sense of hope long after treatment ends.
In the quiet Mt. Helix neighborhood, teens stay in a spacious home designed with both comfort and care in mind. The house has a fully equipped gym for workouts or yoga, a gated pool with trained safety staff, and a big outdoor area with games and a sport court. Daily meals are prepared by an in-house chef, giving teens the fuel they need to feel their best. Bedrooms are set up to encourage healthy sleep and rest. And with a dedicated school room complete with computers, teens can keep up with academics.
Aftercare is designed so that teens are not left alone after finishing residential treatment. Instead, the transition is carefully planned, with options for outpatient care, ongoing therapy and regular check-ins. Evolve also offers online therapy throughout the state of California, so that care can continue with a commute.
