Encore Outpatient Services provides trauma-informed addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders in Arlington, Virginia. They offer 3 levels of outpatient care: a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and an outpatient program. They recognize the ways trauma can negatively influence mental health and substance use disorders, therefore they put an emphasis on addressing trauma in the treatment process to bring about more positive recovery outcomes. At all levels of care, their licensed staff use evidence-based therapies, life skills coaching, and trauma-specific treatment modalities. Encore treats clients on an individual level, creating treatment plans that may consist of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), art therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), family therapy, and psychodrama. They also offer a family program that involves families in the treatment process through family counseling, psychoeducation, and support groups.
