The Dimock Center's Inpatient Detox Center in Boston offers a 39-bed, medically monitored Acute Treatment Services (ATS) unit specializing in alcohol and opioid use disorders. With over 40 years of service, the center provides medication-assisted withdrawal using protocols that include methadone, buprenorphine, clonidine, and benzodiazepine detoxification. Patients receive individualized treatment plans during stays of up to 14 days, after which they receive referrals to less intensive levels of care for continued support.
The Dimock Center ATS takes a comprehensive, integrated approach to recovery. The multidisciplinary team—including a medical director, nurse manager, clinical supervisor, nursing staff, recovery specialists, and case managers—collaborate to help each patient experience a safe and respectful detoxification process. The center aims to serve 4,000 men and women annually, enhancing access to substance use disorder treatment and establishing vital links to long-term recovery support.
