Their 2-year aftercare program continues to help individuals and their families in recovery. Since its founding in 1966 by Sr. Consilio, Cuan Mhuire has treated approximately 100,000 people.

The treatment facility is located in a former country estate in rural County Limerick, close to the town of Charleville, which is on the boundary between Cork and Limerick. It can currently hold 130 people. There are about 650 admissions to the center each year.
